For independent case managers

Assignments that are not just available, but actually suit you.

Valentis gets to know you before there is an assignment: how you work, what gives you energy and when you have room. If something fits, we call you with the context. You decide whether to go further.

Available is not yet a fit

On paper everything matches. And yet it is not your assignment.

What the assignment asks for

  • Hours32 per week
  • RegionUtrecht, 25 minutes
  • Ratewithin your range
  • Experienceabsence management, second-track reintegration
  • CertificationRCCM

You are available for this. Just like dozens of others.

And yet there can be friction on

  • Type of organisation
  • Culture
  • Working style
  • Autonomy
  • Caseload
  • Communication
  • Type of assignment

That is why we want to know more than what your CV says.

How we get to know you

You first. Then the assignment.

Before there is an assignment, we build your profile in four layers. Not a selection exam: the basis for making better choices later.

A professional in a relaxed phone conversation

The personal conversation

A questionnaire does not yet tell us who you are.

From the conversation

  • Previous assignment was a good fit because line managers took the lead themselves and there was room to spar.
  • Less suited to a large operational organisation: wants substance, not an assembly line.
  • Wants to develop further in complex second-track reintegration cases.

Technology helps to retain information. The conversation gives it meaning.

Example view. Fictitious professional.

When an assignment comes up

No group message. One phone call, with a reason.

We look at who could be relevant, both in substance and in practice. You hear from us because we see a concrete reason, not because you happen to be on a list.

Example view. You see the name of the client as soon as you express interest.

Your choice

Yes, put me forward

Only now does your profile go to this client.

  1. 01You see the full assignment and the name of the organisation.
  2. 02Valentis includes you in the Advisory Report, with your own rate.
  3. 03If the client is interested too, an introduction follows.

No, this is not a fit right now

Then that is where it ends.

  1. 01Your profile does not go to the client.
  2. 02You decide again for each assignment.
  3. 03Without consequences for the next time we see a relevant assignment.

Valentis advises and facilitates. You decide, together with the client.

A good match works both ways.

Looking ahead

Availability does not start only when your diary is empty.

You often know in advance that time is opening up. Tell us, and we will discuss what fits next before you are without an assignment.

  • Your assignment ends in six weeks
  • You are scaling down from 32 to 16 hours
  • You want something different next
  • You are freeing up an extra day

what fits you then

Room for 16 to 24 hours from week 6. We already know you are looking for substantive cases in a team that takes ownership itself. If an assignment matches that, we call you before your diary is empty.

Twelve-week timeline: 24 hours assigned now, the assignment may end in six weeks, then 16 to 24 hours of availability; Valentis already looks ahead earlier.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know.

Is your question not listed? Feel free to call or email, we are happy to think along with you.

Joining

Does joining Valentis cost anything?

No. Joining the network costs you nothing. When you are interested in an assignment you state your own hourly rate; Valentis makes the arrangements about the assignment with the client.

How long does signing up take?

About fifteen minutes, with the help of your CV. You can stop at any point and continue later where you left off. A personal conversation follows. The sign-up itself is in Dutch.

Do I need to be available right away to sign up?

No. Future availability in particular is relevant. If you know that time will open up in a few weeks or months, we can take that into account earlier.

Can I join while I still have an assignment?

Yes. Most professionals in the network have a current assignment. What matters is that we know when time opens up and what fits you next.

Which professionals fit within Valentis?

Independent case managers and absence professionals with demonstrable experience in case management or absence management. We look at experience and certification, but just as much at working style and preferences. In the personal conversation we discuss together whether the network fits you.

Do I need a particular certification?

We look at experience and certification, not at a single tick in a box. Which registration is relevant differs per assignment. In the personal conversation we discuss whether the network fits you.

Assignments and choice

Am I obliged to accept assignments through Valentis?

No. For each assignment you decide yourself whether you want to be put forward. Saying no has no consequences for the next time we see a relevant assignment.

Will I be flooded with messages about assignments?

No. We do not send group messages or automatic proposals. You hear from us when we see a concrete reason why an assignment may be of interest to you, and then we call you with the context.

What happens if I say no?

Then that is the end of it. Your profile does not go to the client and your no has no consequences for a next assignment.

Who sets my rate?

You do. When you are interested in an assignment you state your own hourly rate. You remain self-employed, with your own professional position.

Data and privacy

Is my profile shared without my consent?

No. Your profile only goes to a client after you have seen the context of the assignment and have indicated yourself that you want to be put forward. Per assignment, every time anew.

Does a client see my name or rate without my knowing?

No. A client sees nothing of your profile before you have said yes to that assignment. So you always know who you have been put forward to.

What happens to my data?

We use your data to assess which assignments may be relevant and to contact you. Profile information does not go to a client without your consent.

How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy (in Dutch).
